How often would you ever need 3,600 3/4" PVC pressure elbows ... overnight?

Maybe never.  But we had just such a call a few weeks ago.  The only question our office asked was, "Do you want them in Schedule 40, Schedule 80, or CPVC 80?"  We had them in all three.  In fact, we had 57,000 of the one the customer needed.  And he got the order overnight.

That's the kind of inventory we keep on hundreds of items you use most ... and almost as much on those hard-to-find items.  When we routinely ship orders 99% complete, some people think there's got to be a hidden cost.  There isn't.  The only hidden cost is the one you face when you rely on someone who can't provide that kind of service.  Our competitors wonder how we can afford to keep the whopping inventories that make that kind of service level possible.  We wonder how they can afford not to.

Some people don't think one 4" ball valve is much of an order...

But to a customer who needs it in a crunch, it can be crucial.

On a recent Saturday when our office was closed, we got a call at 5:30 PM.   HAJOCA's Norfolk branch urgently needed five 4" valves for a city water treatment plant that had just exploded.  They had found four of the kind they needed at our Virginia facility.  Now they needed one more from Friedensburg.

While we got it from stock and packed it, my wife, Polly, got the car out and at 6 PM, barreled off to catch the bus at Pottsville.  Just missing it, she chased it to Pine Grove and saw the package safely on the bus for delivery the next morning.

If it hadn't been our 28th wedding anniversary, it would have been routine.

Our good customers are familiar with this "do whatever it takes" style of service.  But, if you're not a regular customer, we think you'd like to get that kind of attention, too.
