Blue Brute™ Pressure Fittings
Injection-molded Blue Brute pressure fittings conform to AWWA C907
"Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) Pressure Fittings for Water (4" through
8")" and is certified to CSA B137.2. Blue Brute fittings are made
from a PVC compound with a cell classification of 12454B per ASTM D1784 and have
a minimum Hydrostatic Design Basis of 4000 psi. The compound is listed
with the National Sanitation Foundation. The fitting is also UL Listed and
FM approved.
Fabricated Blue Brute pressure fittings are made from segments of AWWA
C900 or C905 pipe bonded together and over-wrapped with fiberglass-reinforced
mesh. The pressure class matches the pipe and the fittings are third-party certified to CSA B137.3.
